Why do you think? 'Cause they're awesome. I want a few. (maybe)

Do they need additional heat?? I can't find anything that says that.. Are they ok with room temp?

Yes they are okay with room temp but you should provide them with a heat source like a dome light with a branch underneath it so they can bask if they chose to. Mine would pretty much just stick to the glass near the light. They are not very active! (unless it's feeding time!)

Yeah, that's what I thought.. I was hoping they didn't need it, cause I could just get 'em, but I don't have much room for something that needs a lamp...

Maybe I'll just get some hermit crabs.

    Not.

I know how much you hate Petco but they have three HUGE white's at the one down the street from where I work. Very tempting!!! They appear to be very healthy at the moment So I better move fast if I want to rescue one or all of them!!!

Rescue is not the word. They will only be replaced.

But yes. Petsmart/PetCo have some big frogs.

By making it profitable for those that sell them? There's only one way to "rescue" animals from the market and that's by not buying them. If there's nobody buying, there's no motivation for trying to sell them.

Thats what I meant. They'll see it's success, and replace them. And repeat.

I personally don't have a problem with Petsmart, at least my two local ones, they do a great job and heed my warnings/advice. The employees care.

PetCo however, disgusts me. Their motto makes me laugh.

I went the other day, there were anole eggs everywhere in the cage, the ball Pythons were severly underweight, the monitor (why is in there??) had mites crawling all over the place, the frogs humidity was like 36% with empty water bowls, the water dragon had mouth disease, and the corn snake had crickets crawling in the cage.

    All in one store.

That's why I hate them. And the employees don't give a damn. Not to mention lie to the customers to make sure the pet is exactly what they're looming for. That baby savanah monitor "won't get much bigger".
