    Re: The Nature Photography Thread

Today was a cold, wet, miserable day so we all got into the van and took a drive around town. As we drove a large black bird hopped across the road, I just new it was a raven. Not common in our area I was surprised to see the three of them, then our hearts dropped when we noticed this guys left wing hanging lame. After calling the SPCA and circling the block acouple of times I decided I'd try to catch him. He made his way to a small fenced in playground where I easily cornered and captured him.

He still had enough spunk to make a couple of attempts at my eyes.lol

I noticed once i put him down that he had bled on my coat...

We are going to call every day and I told Marie that if they need someone we are going to try to adopt him.I really hope he is ok!

I hope so. I've loved crows since I was a kid, but especially love ravens!

It is so neat that you were able to help the raven. I hope he/she heals completely and can be returned to the wild. Ravens have started spreading into our county, I have seen a few in the last couple of years.
