    Re: The Nature Photography Thread

We used to have one as a pet. They are extremely intelligent animals.

And they like to wash their food before they eat, Watching him swish his food around in the water bowl just before eating it was funny.

Now it is required to have a special license for them, with the rabies epidemic, that's a good thing.

Raccoons crack me up My wife and I were staying in a cabin in Arkansas one time when at night we heard something on the deck. Turned out to be seven very fat and happy raccoons rummaging through our trash can outside. Soooo of course the next night I had to leave them scraps from dinner outside. They're so much fun to watch. One came right up to the window and peered in at us

My mom had a raccoon and she would occasionally give it crackers. She liked to watch how confused it got when it's food dissolved haha

Oh, that is too funny! Kinda cruel, but funny.

In order to really appreciate these, the cliffs are very high up. Probably around 100 feet to the top. Samantha and ace are in the first photo.

Haha...she wouldn't do it all the time. She said the little raccoon would check its little hands and paw through the water looking for its cracker
