    Re: Herps in the media

Found this the other day and thought it was neat.

Not sure where I stand on licensing the snake as a service animal (for the animal's safety more than anything else... I personally wouldn't blame it for biting someone who acted crazy because they saw a snake, but authorities definitely would) but I thought this was pretty interesting. I really hope they study this instead of just writing an article and going 'Awwwww!'. It might change the way cruelty laws are (or, more accurately; aren't) enforced for reptiles.

This has been making the rounds: Snake opens door in scary viral video

I think it's rather commendable that they give a snake that size room to roam. Most would put it in an 8x10 box and be done with it.

Hahaha, I was flipping through channels and happened to see Fatal Attractions on Animal Planet. I saw some pretty snakes onscreen, so I watched for a few minutes. Then I realized I had met this guy probably ten years ago and visited his serpentarium! From what I remember it was a very nice facility. I just thought it was funny to see someone on that show I recognized.

Well, I've seen Greg McKenzie-Milne (Gregmonsta) on something about reptile shows, and Don Belnap's wandering garters on Animal Planet-Infested, so it was bound to happen to you sooner or later.
