    James and all,

I had no luck at all on NC camp sites with cabins. The ones with a few cabins were very quick to let me know they would not be able to accommodate a large group. I waited a while to update everyone as my son was still helping try to locate something suitable.

Sid, what do you think of Wayne's generous offer?

There is a 1000 acre state woods to hike, and take pictures, But I would be too afraid to gather anything from state land.

another big plus, not one venom producing snake to be found, the rattlesnakes live far from here, My lands lack the rock ledges preferred by the rattlesnakes.

So consider this as an invite to have it here.

The generous offer sounds great to me. I've really been very disappointed in the progress for plans in NC. My sons has continued trying for us, but still not any good news. If we need to change locations, so be it. As I said from the start, where ever, I'll be there.

how about some place where there is more than one species of garter snake and how about during the summer of either 2009 or 2010 during the summer because its real hot and a longer period of time to look for snakes plus they will be found basking on rocks. how about one week for our meeting and we should bring transport tanks just in case if some people want to take a little snake home i think my family still has a campsite out in califorina...the campsite has three cabins near a lake i think we still have it but i'm going to have to check with my family the last time i was there was 2006

Yeah! This would be awesome! I would recommend somewhere in the Midwest. I would definitely say 2009 at the VERY EARLIEST. possibly later? I am stoked.
