    Checkered's are very popular garters. I fed my little ones tilapia fillet, (fish) chopped pinky mice, night crawlers, and even chicken thigh meat. They aren't picky that's for sure. You should try to introduce him to new foods and give him a variety, or just rodents. An all-fish diet isn't ideal. I'm sure you'll enjoy him. Meet Butters and Olivia:
