Alan Francis has the recipe on his website. It looks like a good idea but i have never tried it. I bet you could add some pinkys and worms to the mixture and use an old blender to mix up and you would have the perfect staple diet for them. I'm just worried about the effect the gelatin would have on the snakes.

Don't think you be seeing Emeril Lagasse fixing any of this up on his show.

I made one batch and the two of mine who will eat fish fillet ate it fine. Like others have said, there's not a huge advantage in feeding it and it's a bit of a pain to make when you can just slice up some fish and dust when needed. I haven't made another batch since, but it was a fun experiment

    (1) You put some fish fillet in a blender.
    (2) Next you add 6 or 7 pinkys.
    (3) Then you can add some canadian night crawlers and vitamins.
    (4) Next blend until liquid form
    (5) Then Throw in some gelatin and pour in to ice trays and stick in the freezer and BAMMMM you have a tasty forzen treat.

Many times I saw like gelatin bean stuck in my garter snake cloaca ,the snake was unable to defecate so I pull the plug out and after the snake was fine....
If you use jellow mix it with worms, frogs etc ....I don't think its good to feed garter snake exclusively on fish Jellow

So will it work without the gelatin if I just freeze it? I like the idea of putting in the pinkies and the worms. That sounds like it would be a good way to get all the nutrition they need. Any other thoughts? I am kind of one of those people that likes to get LOTS of info before I try something.

I think the gelatin is just to hold it all together. Without it you end up with a big mess I'm guessing.

Without the gelatin it will be a pinky/worm/fish smoothie. Think you can get your snakes to use a straw?

Other option would just be to chop up all of those ingredients into bite sized pieces and freeze them together in easy portions, but don't put them in a blender....eck.
