Fancy guppies ok?

Thanks asnakelovingbabe. That is the answer I was looking for. I was really considering breeding guppies and other species of feeder fish. But upon doing some research on it, I a agree, it seems to be a lot more trouble and work than it is worth. My babies are eating worms also, so I think I am just gonna stick with them until I can get them switched over to pinkies.

I have been breeding the fancy guppies ,for my snakes, for about a year and half
Started out with 10 gal tank, water pump, heater, 3 girls, 2 boys and a $11 can of dry food, on 3 can now
Now I have about 80 guppies(take 5 to 10 a week for them starting about the 3rd month) and fish poop water (ever other month) for my Blueberrys

Ive considered breeding guppies.... I don't have a need now though..

I have a 26gl dome face full of Mollies, Pladdies, and a few Dainos. Works for me I get a bigger fish for feeder.
My wife gets attached but what the heck I dip when she’s not looking

i have lake by my house that has bass..large mouth i think. Now how would I prepair thm. Do I skin them, i know I would cut them up but what else would I do?

Make a fillet out of 'em, freeze them for quite some time (to get rid of parasites) and feed it..... I think. I've never tried it myself.

Um... No. I dont know of anyone who prepares it themselves. Most buy it... But than you have to make sure it's safe source.

If you've determined that the species of fish that you're catching is safe, then this is exactly what I would do. The only minor modification is that I'd slice them into strips before freezing to make thawing & feeding easier Btw, I've heard 3 weeks in the freezer is sufficient to kill most parasites - nothing really kills ALL parasites, but it would be a very tiny risk after 3 weeks and certainly less risk than buying feeder fish from the pet store.
