    Sorry for your loss.

    I would have thought that he would have been able to breath through the shed. I would not have imagined that the shed was impermeable to O2 and CO2. I've seen photos of snakes going back into their shed but I have never seen one die that way. How sad!

    maybe the tightness of the shed (having crawled back into it backward) prohibited breathing in a way similar to parking a car on a humans chest??

    poor little guy... what a terrible way to lose a snake! Sorry for your loss...

    hate to be a bother, but that actually looks like a nebraska albino (it's dark?) Iowa albinos are T negative, very light with pink eyes and no darkness... or maybe it's just the picture that makes him look dark!
