I've only burnt 3 in the week since I posted this. I kept my door open and kept an eye on my snakes to see if they reacted any differently. They did the typical laying around and begging for food when I walk by the tank I don't burn it near them, it's on the opposite side of my room.

The decision is yours and yours alone, I would just recommend against it, and I wouldn't burn that stuff in my snake room.

Unlike you, I live in a trailer and I have my bedroom and the room i spend 90% of my time in. This is the room my snakes are in, as if they were in my bedroom they'd be in the dark 100% of the time and I'd probably forget about them more. Since I stay in the room I'm in I can constantly see them and see that they're begging for food. I'm nervous around stuff that's burning without me being able to see it, so I cant put it anywhere else without having a panic attack. That being said I don't plan on burning it often and only if my door is open.

You see, again, yet another member has the facts all wrong about me. I may not live in a trailer but the room that has my snakes and my computer is where I spend most of my free time. Yes, many of my snakes beg and are very interested in me when I'm in the room. However, I know it's not their best interest, or mine, to feed them every time they do that.

I swear that Amy (a male albino radix) opens his mouth and starts flailing if I simply get near the enclosure. Even if he was fed well a day ago. I go to change water, or whatever, and he starts nipping my hand (gentle-like) because he assumes that every encounter is feeding time!

And, I do use "patriot candles" in a jar. very richly scented, very pleasant. Just way cleaner burning than incense.

I'm not trying to assume anything about you. Mama used to beg a lot when I came in but now its only snakey. Mama's been off food for 3 weeks now and is showing no interest in food. Since we don't have money and I can afford candles, but I have over 100 incense sticks :P Maybe after I get another snake and have money left over I'll buy some nice candles
