Question about housing multiple garters.

Definitely a good idea to keep them separate! that's a nice Florida Blue-stripe you've got there. Similis are known for their wiry attitude, does yours have a 'tude? Did you get them from scott felzer? It's funny because I also got a nebraska amel plains and a florida bluestripe (two actually, but the female died) from him last season! Along with 5 or 6 other garters!! Welcome to the forum!

I hate to nitpick here, but I think there's enough confusion regarding "Florida blues" and "Blue-striped garters". Talking about "Florida blue-stripes" is just unnecessary.

Thanks! And yes, I did get those two garters from Scott Felzer. I got them summer of last year. And yes, my similis definitely has a wiry attitude. Does not like to be held, but seems to enjoy being looked at. If you bring a camera near him, he will slither over as close as he can get and will just watch.

but.... that's what I've always called them!! And heard them called... The Florida Blue-striped Garter! so that is what I call them! since, forever! They are both from florida, and I was referring to them by common names purely because I was not sure if she would understand the latin names. I don't normally use a common name when referring to my similis.
