    OH be careful there.

Cy our Amel corn got out once, he was wound up fairly good in the folding part of our sofa bed couch.

Dorothy almost folded it out, I said lets flip it first, and presto there he was.

The way he was wrapped up in there, it would have cut him in half if we folded it out!

    Re: Corn on the loose!

    Kyle,
Put a light on the floor (make sure it can not burn the carpeting or start a fire) place a towel near the light.
I lost my Eastern Male, Climber, twice now and he always came back to the light I left on the floor of my basement in the middle of the night!

My famous last thoughts when I lost Climber twice and my one Puget...
"I only left the top to the Viv open for a couple of minutes to go get.... water/worms/pinkies/etc........"

Fotuniately, I found both snakes when they went "AWOL" 3 times! I am still in the dog house about not being able to vacuum up all the damn Pillsbury flour I spread carefully (looks kike I used a shovel) around my basement floor.

Here's some good advice.... "Think like your Corn snake" "Where would I go first to hide"?

    Good Luck!
    Jack

    Re: Corn on the loose!

Once when my Pueblan milk got loose once, I tried thinking like a snake, we tore up the place ground level...

He was six feet up on a shelf!

I noticed a bottle of copier toner laying on the floor, it belonged on the shelf, so I moved the other bottles out of the way, and he was hiding behind them.

Thankfully the rep room is escape proof, so even if they get out of the cage, they cannot leave the room.

    Re: Corn on the loose!

    Day two.
Still no sign. We ripped open the couch and everything in the living room. I set out a water dish and flour "traps." We moved the fridge and checked the kitchen and hallway closets. I checked my room; nothing.
Tonight I'll be setting packing tape traps. It worked with my parietalis; It's my best shot for now.

Check the tape often. Tape can cause some serious injury.

    Re: Corn on the loose!

The dog gets let out at 2 AM, my parents are up at 5 in the morning, my mom's home all day, and I get home at 2:30. There are only two small time gaps where the traps couldn't be checked, and at this point I'm a little desperate.
