If it's actually damp, you'll get problems.

I didn't have anything to measure the humidity, but water was condensing on the sides of the sterilite tubs they were in...

Yeah, if there's condensation the humidity is too high.

ill make sure to keep an eye on that iof it is too big a problem i will break into the attic to check the temps and if all is good then that is where they will go

yeah - the fridge scares me
mine go in the sun porch, which is not quite as cold as outside and then they get a space blanket tent with some heat that kicks in when temps go too far down

NB. My loft is converted into a livable room, we just don't use it, so it's cold. A non-converted loft/attic might have dangerously low temperatures in mid winter.

I just feel like I have better control with the mini fridge, it's an auto defrost model, no condensation yet.

Our attic gets TOO cold, the basement not cold enough.

well if things dont go well with too much condensation in the fridge and the attic gets too cold i will just have to call off the brumation

All of mine were born this year, and they haven't gone off feed yet. So I will just have to wait and see what they end up telling me...
