Having your light inside will cook the snakes.

The way it is set up, all heat is stored inside the tank, With the light outside, only radiant heat exists inside the cage.

Other than that, It is impressive. Looks cozy in there.

That's WONDERFUL, Shanley! Very very nice!

Yes, the light will burn your snakes. Put outside on screen.

Your plant will be fine. It has no thorns or any ruff things that can hurt your snakes.

The more tiers you have allowing your snakes to avail themselves to the height of the tank, the more snakes you can have.

thanks for all the repliesyeah the top is awesome I love it bc both the screens lift out individually and the whole top lifts off as well for cleaning but unf I cannot put the light directly on the screen...... it is just regular screen and it started smoking within 3 seconds...... but I turned off the inner light and now the temps are 78 and 82 lol not much of a temp gradient....... but o well...... i'm sure it will be better when my house coold down meadow LOVES it lol she actually climbed out and all the way up the monkey to the vent in the ist pic lol then she just sat there and stared at me till I turned around and offered her my hair lol the others just love the new hides and water dishes lolyes that is a picture frame I just put a piece of faberic in it loosly and made a frame of cardboard to fit in behind it and hold it in place then I just tied it up with fishing linewow typing on this phone is hard.... and it hurts my fingers...... i'll type more about it later........ meanwhile ASK ME MORE QUESTIONS!!!!!!!! lol

    Re: New cage

You can probably just remove the light and go with room temps anyway. Also, in the past I've hung the heat light from a hook in the wall-- so it doesn't touch the screen, but still gets warmth into the tank. You can use a small aquarium hood just to light up the tank, too.

    It looks great Shanley!

i use a small aquarium hood for my 10 gallon with the babies in it and the radiant heat off of the 15 watt bulb keep it between 78-80 degrees

Very nice Shanley. All my answers are same as Lori P's first reply. I'd get someone to help you put metal screen in place of the fabric screen, if you arent sure how to do it. Not too hard. A lamp in the cage is an accident waiting to happen.
    Sure looks nice though.
