    Re: I just realized...

Dekay, YOU did! YOU started the list with Peepers and Jeepers!

You know, looking at that list of mine, it's presentable. I like the look of "New York" better than "T.s.sertalis, from New York." I mean, not too bad a start for just a couple months work.

Again, THANKS for YOUR help, Dekay, with P & J!!!!

Just remember, if you are to be really legal, the "extra snakes" will belong to those with the extra licenses. You might help care for them, but they "own" them.
In other words, my first wife didnt really want to take ownership of any extra snakes for my benefit, so it wouldnt have gone over so well with dfg if she denied owning any of them. The only reason I would want this would be for the few species of snakes that have a limit of 2, but have 3 subspecies (like wanderings- still want a vagrans myself- I mean I want someone else in my household to have one ).

Well, thankfully my wife didnt own any of them. Technically/legally speaking though, yes you would be over your limit if she left a vagrans behind and you already had the elegans and terrestris. You would have to gift the snake out to someone else, hopefully your new roommate.

Yeah... downsizing. I always say that too.

I'm not going to list all my non-garter snakes, but I just did a quick count of 43 species and subspecies of snakes.
