    Re: Tami's Kids...

It's been awhile since this tread was updated. Measured the babies and took some quick pics of the mischievous duo today so thought I'd share. After being pointed toward snake measurer here's their little growth chart. They were born 7/14/08 and arrived here 8/20. Frack is a little more skittish and doesn't eat as well, but seems to be catching up to his brother in size!

8/20/08- 7.6 inches -only had one pic suitable for sizing, not sure which baby it was
    9/13/08- 11.94" Frick, 10.82" Frack
    10/27- 14.11" Frick,13.82 Frack

    Now for the pics:

I divided a small 5.5 gallon tank with cardboard to use as a simple feeding tank. Meal was pinky & tillapia in case you're wondering Frick had eaten his fill and decided to see what his brother was up to...

Checkin out his brother's food dish...

Frack, "How in the heck did he get over here???"

Oh. Because you know, it seems to me that, aside
from being a little mentally ill, she's pretty normal.

Thanks Kyle. They really are a blast to have around. They're so much more active than the two wild caught adults. They're just busy, busy, busy I think it's Frick who's crusing the tank right now, even though he has a full belly and you'd think he'd just be relaxing and digesting

Nothing beats captive bred; even captive bred hybrids. :P
What I find odd is that one of them has more of a checkered look (especially the neck) and the other is more eastern. :P

    Re: Tami's Kids...

They're actually very very similar in person...the only way I tell them apart is the first "checker" on the left hand side. Frick has just a black spot and a smudge there, where Frack's is a normal well defined block. Let me upload the two shots from above that I used for measuring today... not sure they're clear enough to see... lemme look

Btw, just curious... which do you think looks checkered and which eastern?

Ok, not great pics, but should work for comparison... and please, excuse the mess... it is their feeding tank and I obviously didn't clean it before snapping pics

I see the difference in the neck pattern. They are nice snakes, Tami. Can I have them?
