Oh haha, i didn't actually look, i just read the heading.....sounds pretty cool anyway. Couldn't miss an opportunity to express my enthusiasm for spiders..lol. I'll have to take a look at the pic so i dont make myself look stupid again.

It is a mexican redknee. I got her when she was really tiny and I've had her for about a year and a half. She's really easy to hold and hasn't even flicked hairs at me.

Hey guys, I wanted to bring this up in Tatiana's thread but will ask here-- Tati (rose hair) is not eating. It's been probably a month since she's eaten. What's up with that???

She is probably getting ready to molt. Do you mist her cage? If not, you should to help her with molting. If she does molt you may see her upside down and she might look dead but dont bother her. It might take up to a few hours...not really sure exactly how long. After she molts she will likely eat voraciously after several days, but not immediately cause it takes a few days for the fangs to get hard enough.

Also, its worth mentioning, if you think she's getting ready to molt, dont leave any live crickets with her because they can actually nibble on the spider during molting.

Thanks Christa-- she molted when I first got her, which was, oh, I don't know now... 6 months ago or so. Oh, yep, it was February. So think it is time to molt again??
