Darn. Wish s/he wasn't protected. But you're WONDERFUL for doing the correct thing.

I was - if you'd kept that precious baby - going to suggest the name, "Spot."

thanks guys, but really there was never a choice to make it was deff. let it go as soon as I knew what it was....... on a sad note though, the other pics I took of it as I was letting it go some how got erased off my camera, and I had some nice shots of it in the grass to, so as you can imagine I was pretty mad for lack of a better term... all I know is my wife had it last to show some pics to someone....

    Great news Garter Fans...lol!!!
I have found an adult Brachystoma in the back yard, prolly about 14 to 15 inches long, and would appear to be gravid, so I took more pics, however their is a little trouble I guess you can say I rescued her actually their wear few kids that found her but I'm pretty sure she's gonna be alright, one nic on her side but not very bad, Lets hope she doesn't find them kids again, and I warned them about coming on my property again also........... anyway here they come so don't reply til I'm done, their are 4 pics.......

Did you say she's gravid? Maybe keep her around in something outside until she gives birth and then let them all go? Maybe that will keep her safe and give her and the kids an edge on surviving... From the boys/kids.

Oh. Because you know, it seems to me that, aside
from being a little mentally ill, she's pretty normal.
