Theses photos are Great. Is "shutter speed" what allows you to get the toungs so clear in these pics? I cant pull it off with my wimpy little sony

shutter speed helps. I am only using a Sony H9 right now with a Canon macro diopter lens. I like to shoot in natural light as much as possible, and generally like up close macro portrait shots with or without tongue of snakes. I like getting really close so I don't have to zoom in as much, which can be an adrenaline rush for shots like this...
