    looks like an eastern to me....but need some better pics...nice looking snake tho!!!!! still waiting for my first snake. gonna beat the miserable weatherman!!!!! says rain and snowin the forecast.......

    It is definately not a Butler, Butlers don't have "necks". Small heads the same size as their bodies.

    Congratulations on Garters being out in your area. Great looking snake and I think T. s sirtalis as well.

    Actually, I did take the camera, but SOMEBODY (who will remain unnamed in this post....) forgot to bring the batteries for said camera, and was very ticked off when she missed a great shot of a hawk on a tree branch only twenty feet away, as well as many garter snakes!

    Here are a few more pics, these almost show how pretty the browns are in him!
    And he handles surprisingly well for a wild caught! No musking, and no panic attacks!
