    Re: dumpy frog

I have been deeply tempted by this species, but I know I don't have time for the care it needs... at least until I retire!

Can't they be sexed by the size of their thumbs, like other frogs?

    Re: dumpy frog

    I read up before adopting
    they're the ultimate "beginner frog"
since I already have to have feeder insects, it's not a big deal
he needs a bit of misting and fresh water
    no veggies to chop . . .
and I do think Jabba was modeled on them, because they can become ridiculously obese
mine is a nicely trim specimen
I don't know about the size of the thumbs, but apparently these can't be sexed until about 6 months of age, when the males will start calling
Jeff suggested Legolas for a boy, which can be turned into Leggy Lass if it's a girl
    I don't know . . .

    yes it is
    she's gartergirl on this forum
she has been very busy in the lego universe
but the frog got her attention
maybe we should name it Lego - that's pretty gender neutral

Cute frog! My daughter has been wanting a tree frog for quite a while. How hard is the care?
