Thanks everyone: There are 19, all appear to be prefect. They are from one of my maritimes that I was not sure was gravid, guess she was. Mom ate like a pig this morning, and is doing very well. It may be time to release her so she can get ready for winter. Hate to do it, but I can’t keep them all, besides my big eastern is still gravid, and my other maritime looks like it may have a surprise in store for me too.

They are eating (one is anyway)! I took my electric worm probe out and buzzed up a bunch of little tiny worms from the pile of sunflower hulls under the bird feeder, and dropped a few into the tank with the babies. They were pretty shy and scattered, but snuck up on the tank a few minutes later and saw a worm tail disappear into a tiny mouth. Pretty cool.

hey wow congrats. he is a beautiful little thing! when do you plan on letting 'mom' go? i hope everything goes as well with the others.

Lulu: Probably the next couple of days, I want to try to get a couple of good photos of her and make sure that she is well fed before I carry her the 20 feet back to where I found her, under the pool walkway. It is going to be a hard thing to do. With any luck I should see her again.

i would not be suprised if she comes back and shows her face. i am very happy to hear you doing this. i dont think i would have the gutts to do it as i am soooo soppy with my animals i get too attached lol well done xxx

Uhhhmmmm...probably that happened to my garter, when I picked her up at my vet's clinic she was a lot more thin =(

But...I think it's better this way, im a beginner so too much snakes would be a little bit of trouble
