    When you say red worms, do you mean red wiggler? I ask because they can be toxic to garters.

    No defiantly not red wigglers. I call earthworms red worms. I probably should have clarified. So far everything I feed my snakes I have got from the yard or flower bed. Nothing store bought yet.

    I'm gonna try and switch the garter snake over to pinkies this winter since I can't really dig through snow and look for worms.
