    On the subject of belly buttons, I think it varys. I have a dozen baby garters that were born in June and show no markings of ever having a belly button, which means it must have faded a couple of weeks after their birth.

    I would also say definitely female...but as others have said...babies can fool you so we will have to reevaluate when she is a bit older. She is a cutie!

    The belly button looks fine and normal. And yes, I've had them keep it their entire lives, although it usually becomes barely noticable.

    I have no doubt at all that you have a little girl there.
