    A snow is an albino mixed with an... Anery... I think. I'm pretty sure albinos are usually yellow, snows are pink with no pattern, as fa as I can tell.

    Snows are double homozygous for Albino and anery or axanthic, or in the case of snow easterns, albino and melanistic.

    Albino takes away the dark colors but leaves red, yellow, etc alone. The anery or axanthic gene takes away the red/yellows and leaves you with a snake that has no pigment/pattern. It's two mutations in one snake.

    If that albino red sided pictured above, was also anery, the snake would be totally "snow" white.

    Snows don't occur in nature, but albinos and anery's do. Combine the two in captivity and you get a "snow"

    I found one of my Red Sided (T.s.parietalis) babies in opaque phase.

    I finally caught my albino red sided (Roger) in opaque phase...i think . This will only be the second time he has shed since I got him. His face seems to get really white.
