    Re: Theif The Snake

Here she is chillin' in her setup:

Her twenty gallon. (Click for larger image)

A bird's eye view of her tank. (Click for larger image)

Looking at her reflection. (Click for larger image)

A close up. (Click for larger image)

The images are pretty bad, it's probably because of the lighting.
And I how should I clean her tank walls? I have been doing regular cleanings, with the substrate and furniture, and I wash the tank down, but the walls stay dirty.

Beautiful snake. 35" is small huh? Here I was thinking Sage was a pretty good size at around 30", also a female red sided. How big are you hoping she gets?

    Re: Theif The Snake

Well, after seeing all these posts with pictures of huge female garter snakes, I'm hoping she stays around three feet.

Not that I would mind, but some other people in my house would.

My male (also self caught red sided) is 24 inches, and that's bigger than the average male. So to me, 35 inches is pretty darn big

Well, I'm pretty new to keeping garter snakes, so I guess red sided garter snakes are on the smaller side?

Red sideds can get pretty big. Northwesterns are one of the smallest garters. Females don't get over 2ft, usually.
