He just kept copying other peoples posts, including yours Jeff, and reposting them. The purpose in this is that the user's signature was spam. Seems like an awful lot of trouble. There are forums that are much easier to spam than this one.
Reptile forums got hit hard a couple of weeks ago. They were absolutely flooded with new users and spam posts. They redesigned the website and it seems to have stopped.

Or so that's what it appeared to be. I find that most of the time, it's malicious content that tries to install adware or a trojan horse without your consent. You gotta watch for those fake popup boxes. Never close them by using the buttons they provide. Always CTRL ALT DEL and force terminate it.
