Cutting up pinkies doesn't bother me at all. Much better than dealing with worm goop. Or fish goop; my new baby won't eat her worm bits unless I mix them with fish bits for now...

I guess I would just rather have a garter snake that is large enough to eat whole pinkies!!!!!!!!!!!

That would make things easier, but really, even at their most difficult, garters are still very easy to take care of. I just about always have a few babies or an entire litter to feed. Have to make up little plates of chopped pinkies or worms, mixed with chopped fish, nearly every day. You get used to it.

I think they feed better when you're feeding more than one at a time (Monkey see ya know!!!)

I mean, it can help some, but it doesn't usually make a huge difference.

I've seen no evidence that feeding in groups makes any difference. Each snake is going to eat if they're hungry, and refuse food if they aren't. Doesn't matter if they're alone or with others. Some people swear it does make a difference but I don't think so.

That's what i've seen too. However my two babies often influence eachother... but really that doesn't do too much.
