    Are theese two the same?

i found some cheap herp books
Amazon.com: Herpetology, Second Edition: An Introductory Biology of Amphibians and Reptiles (9780127826226): George R. Zug, Laurie J. Vitt, Janalee P. Caldwell: Books

    and
Amazon.com: Herpetology, Third Edition: An Introductory Biology of Amphibians and Reptiles (9780123743466): Laurie J. Vitt, Janalee P. Caldwell: Books
same author second and third edition . does that mean the third has all the stuff the second has in it and more like thees two books
Amazon.com: Snake Hunting Guide II; Methods, Tools, and Techniques for Finding Snakes (9780978897963): Will Bird, Phil Peak: Books
    and
Amazon.com: Snake Hunting Guide: Methods, Tools, and Techniques for Finding Snakes (9780978897932): Will Bird, Phil Peak: Books

i know im getting the second of the lower books but should i get both of the top books (the textbooks) or just the more recent) if you dont know what im asking read the reviews for the second edition of the bottom set of books (the non textbook) and then youll get the idea.

It could mean that it's exactly the same contents presented with some tiny basically meaningless differences, or it could mean that the contents are updated, revised, expanded or whatever.

Can't say what the differences are in this specific case.
