Re: So I started an exotic-pet Youtube channel

Speaking of feeding and nutritional value, I wish somebody would do a breakdown on worms. More specifically the nutritional difference between WC worms, bait store nightcrawlers and worms you grow yourself and can control the diet of. I know most people say they are packed with vitamins and alot of minerals and fairly lean. I have at least seem some mentions of calcium content actually being high in some worms but I wonder if these are ones say specifically fed eggshells alot with their other diet or something. I would love to do it myself but I assume I need a mass spectrometer for anything but checking calorie count.

I remember a study on nutritional break down of night crawlers. I'll see if I can find it.

Thanks everyone! I'm eventually going to run out of basic husbandry to talk about, so I'm already planning other topics like gut-loading and nutrition content in feeders, other things like that.

If you find it, I'd love to read it.

Okay cool. I'll search the forum for the other one too.

Not really related to garters at all, but I'm surprised that they couldn't get data for protein for pinhead crickets since they could get it for fruit flies and larvae.

While I agree that Steve is THE source for official garter studies here, I have never had a professor that would willingly send you links to everything If he were really a professor, he'd just say "Interesting question. You should go look it up."
