Re: Brand new snake caretaker from Canada here.

Hi there, yeah this one is wild caught too, unfortunately my dog caught her in a bad way. I was originally going to see if i could heal her and then release her, but looking at the date, its september now and the weather is going to get alot cooler pretty fast so im worried its too close to hibernation and i would hate for something else to happen to her, so i think this girl is here for the winter at least. If she tames down, and quits trying to bite me all the time, i think we will keep her, if she doesnt i think it might be best to release her back out into the wild once its warm enough to do so come spring. However, i have become quite fond of her, so if i do release her, i have a feeling ill be looking for a captive bred snake but time will tell for now i just want her to get better, make sure she doesnt get infection, and heal the wound up. Then go from there.
