Mostly scenery pics from our weekend in the Crystal Basin/5 Lakes area of the El Dorado & Tahoe National Forests. Did not see one reptile or amphib, but didn't really expect to. The days were gorgeous, but the night time temps are dropping into the 20's up there. Enjoy... we did!
Two more sets on the way...TamiOh. Because you know, it seems to me that, aside
from being a little mentally ill, she's pretty normal.

Spawning Kokanee Salmon... way smaller than the stealhead that we see here in the valley.
Informal gravesite along the Rubicon Trail...
Ok, that's it... was a great weekend until we broke a tie rod on the Rubicon. We usually carry an extra, but had given the extra to a friend in need a few weeks ago. Hubby did a decent trail fix, but it took a lot of time and then we had to take it easy the rest of the way out and didn't get off the trail until after 9 last night and home after 11.
