    Re: Found on YouTube

Nice videos. I did see the parrot already. Been following that channel for a while. I'm pretty sure that the "bodies" rule was meant to weed out videos that glorify killing and/or cruelty rather than a rule against the song itself. Very talented bird there.

You see Chantel? Your snakes are just like mine. Stick that hemostat in their face, and they strike without hesitation! "Om, nom, nom"

Of course, after a while of having them, all I have to do is walk in the room or open the screen and all their little heads are looking up to see whats on the menu.

Ember and Snap are looking great. You've done a great job raising them. I'm so pleased. They're at that stage now where you can probably expect them to double in size during the next 6 months.

    Merry Christmas!

First and foremost that rule is meant to spare me the agony of having to listen to that song one more time. Sometimes it seems that every second video has it (two thirds of all snake videos), because it was the "best" of a very, very small number of metal songs that could be found in audioswap. But like I said in the comment section of that video, the version sung by the parrot was the best version I've heard so far. That people use it to glorify killing is also true.

I'm thinking of banning all versions of "Last Christmas", too.

I wouldn't have enforced the "no Bodies" rule. It's a joke.

I stand corrected. You just hate that song. I get it.

It's funny though, if I use the "feeling lucky" option for audioswap, the dang thing picks that song for my snake videos every dang time!

They've tripled in size since I got them. I saved their first sheds too, so the newer sheds and quite huge compared to the first ones. Mama like the hemostats... She tried eating them when I was giving her the babies left overs. She at almost all of them and a few worms and 2 pinkies. She's a fat lady. If only she'd sing.

Look at these idiots handling a rattlesnake which they call a "Pet". He says he's already been bitten but still insists that it's "tame" and that it's a "pet". Morons!

It doesn't anger me. I just think it's foolish on their part. "Pet" they call it.

    Re: Found on YouTube

He's owned it for 14 years supposedly. It doesn't look that old, but I've never been anywhere close to a rattler so I don't know how big they even get. It is actually somewhat amazing that he can hold it at all without it trying to kill him but... A rattler isn't a pet... but neither are garters. (They're the owners...)

    Re: Found on YouTube

Really not that amazing. He even admits it bit him once and put him in the hospital. A reluctance to bite is not what I call "tame" which is what he claims this snake to be. The snake was clearly irritated by the handling.

When I was much younger and dumber, I handled small rattlers in San Diego (Crotalis ruber) that were a heck of a lot more tolerant to handling than that snake. They wouldn't even rattle or show any signs of being annoyed and they were wild. I still wouldn't call them "tame" and I sure as heck wouldn't call one a pet.
