This afternoon I received a call from a friend who was volunteering at a local nature center. He advised me a man called in and wanted to give the center an albino garter snake he had found in his yard. The center didn't want it so my friend told him he would call me and give me his contact information.
I contacted the guy by phone. He stated he found the snake in his yard and thought it was cool. While talking to him I asked if I could come and take some photos of the snake. He told me I could have it. By his description I didn't think it was a radix.
So, to make a long story short I give you(meaning I'm introducing it to you. You can't have it). This handsome, male T.s.parietalis(Red Sided Garter Snake)
He wouldn't let me let me get a photo of his underside tail but it is red.
Sorry about the photos, one was with flash and one was without.
