re: Other pets (pics and discussions)

You know, coming from the person who stuck up for a kid who blatantly didn't do his research on garters, killed a couple, and sold the rest (I stuck up for him too) you sure are being more harsh than helpful. Lambasting someone for something that happened in the past that you aren't even fully informed about is just counterproductive. It makes people even less likely to listen to any good tips you could give that might help out some animals, which sucks because you do seem to know what you're talking about.

No one slammed me when I showed up here and admitted to having done some things wrong raising my snake. They just gave me advice, and now I've changed a lot of the things about how I care for him. (He deserves more credit for it than I do, but he *is* over the average life expectancy of a garter snake btw )

If you took the time to read, you would realize my posts where about keeping SNAKES in tubs. Not tegus nor monitors. All of my monitors have spacious cages and are extremely well taken care of.

You know, this sounds a bit like you're bragging about the difference in the quality of care you give your monitors and garters... I sort of agreed with you on how snakes could respond to environmental stimulation a while back, but not any more. I recently got my snake a larger, well-decorated enclosure, and whether or not he is 'happy' is anyone's guess, but he is definitely more active, and is always moving about as opposed to almost zero activity before.

I've got nothing to do with it.
Just wanted all parties involved to know it will probably happen.

Recessive mutation and extremely rare/expensive. There are scaleless corn snakes too.

This little girl popped up in the litter I had back in February.I can't wait to breed her and see if this is genetic.
