I will have to check, I was feeding the monitor, and noticed the tube thing hangin off the butt end of the roach, so I left her alone and closed the lid.

Anything I should be looking for????

Make sure she retains it. If you find it out of her body, it's either hatching, or if it's been out for more than 5 minutes, it's been aborted.

We watched the B-movie "Fortress 2 the re-entry" last night and one of the prison inmates had a hisser for his pocket pal pet

they even strapped a mini video cam onto it

And just think, down south people spray poison to get rid of them....

They would call us insane for breeding them.

Re: Zephyr's Amazingly Awesome Roach Thread

    AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The filthin' farthin' cats somehow-- and I just DON'T GET IT--- knocked my ten gallon tank with my 4 peppered roaches in it off the shelf and smashed it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found all four roaches-- they are fine, and wow, have they grown!!! But didn't have time to get pics, just wanted to get them to safety.

I'm SO MAD!!!!! I cannot fathom what went on.... the shelving unit is deep, the roach tank was in the middle of it, not near the edge. Somehow and for some reason there were two cats who got up on the shelf and squeezed between the back of the tank and the wall... got to fighting... and shoved it right off. Broken glass everywhere.

I've just gotten it all cleaned up and needed to vent. I need to go around now and make sure everything is secure... what's happening is, with the cold weather, some of the feral cats are sneaking inside. I didn't have to deal with this while it was decent weather and I honestly never thought about them knocking tanks off of shelves!!!!

I'm also pondering the wisdom of all acrylic tanks....

Arrgh. Ok. Anyway.... wow, those roaches are BIG!!!! I jsut re-settled them in an empty 5.5 gallon tank and once I get a new 10 gallon set up, will get pics...

It's a good thing those weren't the lobster roaches; I'd think you'd panic a little. XD

Kyle, if it was the lobsters, I believe I would have just turned and walked out and went to bed. LOLOL

I need to downsize the lobsters, too. I have way too many. I keep freezing them but I have like 6 ziploc bags full now.
