Good news! Deejay's finally about to shed -- thought she was going to hang on to that old skin forever, but after her last feeding, I guess she figured she'd better grow or burst apart!!

Yaaaaay Deejay! Grow, grow, grow.... :-) Miriam is finally about to shed for the second time too. :-)

Deejay was shedding pretty often for the first couple years, but it seems since she's hit that 2-year mark, she just got plain tired of it!!!! I think this is her way of thanking me for putting her in a bigger house........wait till she gets into the next one, I might be in for trouble!

OMG, Anji, you know what?? I didn't realize Deejay was 2 yrs old!! I thought she was still very young. LOL Not sure how I missed that. :-) Well, anyway, gooo Deejay still! LOL

That's because I keep referring to her as my 'baby' since she was the offspring of my big garter, the late Dojo. I kind of keep forgetting that she's actually a big girl now, too! She's the same size her mom was when we found her, and when this shed is finished, she may be close to the size her mom left us at.
When I get the new baby dekay's next week, maybe I'll start talking about Deejay like the grown up she is!!!!

lori, anji, you two really make me laugh with the stuff you babble on about lol just what i need after a 12hr shift lol but to be honest, no matter how big my snakes get they will always be my 'babies' lol

lol its great after a hard shift because i know you two and a couple of other members have all had a good old natter about everything and nothing lol. its just a shame i am never on when everyone else is lol

anyway how has today been for you? hows the snakes??

I'm fine, so is Deejay! Have you been reading my other thread, about my new Dekay's snake that I'm getting next week? I can hardly wait!!!
Lulu, I hope you'll be on line for a little while yet -- I have to go tuck my kids in and feed the snake, but I'll be back, so if you're still around we'll chat then ok??
