Love the look on the female's face in those first pics. Come to think of it...the male has kind of an angry look on his face in the pics too. Do you stand in front of the snakes and scream obscenities at them to tick them off?

Aww, it's just their "eyebrows". Wandering garters have fairly well protected eyes.

Wow. I have a male red radix that looks like a 1 year old. He's 4. Eats well just doesn't grow.

This one eats just enough to stay alive, but no more than that.

That's what I thought. I had a radix that did that. 3 years old and no bigger than your average 4 month old. Kept getting retained sheds too, and eventually dropped dead.
