    Ah, I see now! So you have Canada Geese and we have European Starlings....I think you may have gotten the better deal! Maybe....

    Possibly, I don't really know how much competition there is between these geese and our original species.

    Then again, we also got the white-tailed deer, the Canadian beaver, the muskrat and the American mink. The first three haven't had any significant adverse effects on the ecosystem, but the mink is doing serious damage.

    Funny thing about this country, it was under ice up until about 10 000 years ago and partially under water until a few thousand years ago. New species are constantly moving in.

    Yeah, people (in general) can be very short-sighted sometimes and not bother to think about the consequences.
