Yesterday, I came across a show from the Discovery Channel called "Dual Survival" During this episode one of the idiots was out looking for food. Along came a rather small/young Porcupine. Too bad of it as it was shot with a homemade crossbow and then clubbed to death.
The word "killing" was never used but "harvesting" was.
It seems like our care and concern for wildlife is reaching a low, this type of shows certainly doesn't help to educate the public about conservation or animal welfare.

I'm disturbed by this trend and wondered if anyone else has noticed it or am I just over sensitive.
Used to be that channels like Discovery would make documentaries about the world around us, it seems that they've moved on to making **** which focuses on idiots interacting with the natural world (generally not in a good way).

That's it, I'm getting rid of my TV. I'm cancelling my cable.

The Weather Channel is starting crap programming. Their expert is in Florida on the assumption that due to the latest tornadoes the "Skunk Ape" is probably draw to the damage in the hope of finding a meal. He even found a footprint of the Skunk Ape and could smell it.
Just shoot me now. "Did IQs suddenly drop while I was away?"

    "Aliens" quotes seemed appropriate.

This is to reference Saji's want ad for S. dekayi.

I don't thin you'll find a breeder per say. Their size at birth is certainly a reason for many not to breed them and the fact they are protected in many areas but what do you mean by their "life span"?

Oh, I'm just researching them and talking to people who have kept them and I heard they (compared to garters) dont live much longer than 5 years in captivity.

A 12 hour drive to Austin TX. turned into a 16 hour drive because the TX roads dept. decided to re-construct the entire I-35. Speed limit 75mph, not even close.

I know how you feel. From now on, I think we only need two seasons. Winter and construction.

♫I'm just a small town boy, born and raise in South Omaha♫ Well sorta.
This town "Austin" is too big for me. I'm ready to get back to Iowa. Everything happens too fast here.
