Good grief. Good luck with all those mosquitoes this summer.

More heavy rain moving in right now. This stinks.

Let me re-phrase this. It's down pouring as I type and has been for the last 20 minutes. Double stinks.

Welcome to my world 9 months out of the year. Finally did stop though. Nice pleasant weather lately. Not hot, not wet. There still is no riverbank though. It's filled all the way to the brim. All the beaches, parks, and boat launches along the river are under water.

How are you doing after that last batch of storms last night steve? Every time we get these I think that you likely got them first. Surely it has to let up at some point...

More water in the basement but managing it. Heard they are going to release more water from Gavin's Point dam later this week. That means more water against our levee system.
Had a terrible dream(nightmare) last night that I got about 4 feet of water in my basement. Found some of my snakes out after it receded.
Hope it's not a sign of things to come. The young babies in the tanks could swim out but the adults housed in enclosures would surely drowned if the basement filled.
Praying and hoping it never gets that bad.

Dang. Scary stuff Steve. All I have to say is that if it does flood, I hope the power is out. You know what happens when water reaches sockets. No amount of swimming will help that.
