I don't know about that, I just set the camera to "untrained monkey" and after that, it was just "point and shoot".

If only it were that simple. If I were to do that, my pics would look like they were taken by (and crapped on) an untrained monkey.

At least if prepare and manipulate the settings correctly for the conditions, my pics look like they were taken by a well trained monkey.
