I keep hearing about places around the U.S. getting dumped on by snow but it's gorgeous and sunny here in SW WA. 62 F at my place. A friend in Portland, OR (about 8 miles away) just called me and said there's "about a thousand" (northwestern) garter snakes in his yard.
