Stefan there is a simple and GREAT solution! Just get yourself a pellet rifle, kill them off, and sell mink-fur coats and make big money! **Cough cough** I mean you can help save the animal population!

Pellet rifles won't kill them, I use a .22 and the pelts are worthless that time of year (you want the winter coat).

I shot that one the next time it came running by. Don't click if you can't stand blood.

Coincidentally, mink are the most oily animal I have ever dissected. They've been used as a source of lantern oil in the past.

My dad keeps mink oil in his closet to shine his shoes.

Stefan, nice gun! That was a crazy head shot! You did that with a .22?

It wasn't a head shot, it was a heart/lung shot. Yeah, it was shot with a .22, in the middle of the night at a distance of maybe 6-8 meters.

So I was on the Houston Zoo website on the reptiles page, and it says check out some of our reptiles, and has a list. I clicked on Gulf Coast Ribbon, and it comes up with "Scientific Name: Thamnophis sauritus" THE ZOO!! Come on.... I don't know/remember that they actually have any of these guys at the zoo, but anyways I'll see about sending them an email....
