Just like kids with pots and pans, Give a snake some scrap cardboard, they will play with it all day.

    Re: Wayne's Garter Snakes

    That's so cute.

I've been decreasing the day length and letting get quite a bit cooler at night and my adult concinnus have been wanting to hide and bury themselves at night whereas before they were content to just curl up in corner for the night. I think it's the instinct to find a brumating shelter.

Anyway, I put a section of sturdy cardboard tubing (about 5 inch diameter) in there up on their climbing log and some pieces of cardboard in the bottom like you did. I stuffed one end of the tube with moss. As soon as I put that stuff in there, they all came rushing over to investigate. It's so cute. They spent the night under their cardboard and inside the tube. This morning they're poking their head out. Got pics. Will post here later today :http://www.thamnophis.com/forum/gene...arters-29.html
