    Thanks, I'm really enjoying having these frogs. I have 3 males and 3 juvies (I'm hoping at least one will be female....) and I hope to breed them this year.

    russian tortoise?

    i know its not a garter, but has anyone had any experiece with russian tortoises? and if so what should i know before i would get one?

    Good for you- getting the needs straight before you run out and get something new! I had a neighbor that got a painted turtle for his birthday, and that thing suffered quite awhile in a ten gallon tank before they learned the error of their ways.

    Good luck on finding all your info that you need.

    I have a pair of Russian tortoises. I refered to the same website as is posted on the second reply(russiontortoise.org) for all of my info. Far as I can tell its all good information.

    I keep them in a home built tortoise table, 2 feet wide by 6 feet long.
