Sounds like a cold front came in. Whenever you're right under the point where the cold air slams into the warm air, you're gonna get high winds. That happened here a couple of weeks ago. Wind gusts peaked at around 50mph.

Looks fine to me. Fits perfectly. Right at top-to-bottom limits. Room to spare left-to-right. That's on a 24.5 inch 16:10 screen though. On the laptop, the right side isn't visible.
Just hold down CTRL and hit - until it fits Steve. Then CTRL + to put it back the way it was.
