OK, I'm not worried now. It passed. About time people woke up. A bunch of states also legalized, and a bunch more passed medical use. Now for the federal govt. to step up. This is democracy dammit. The people have voted.

Prohibition doesn't work Steve. It just flat out doesn't work. All it does is put all the revenue in the hands of criminals and terrorists. At least now, good people don't have to go to jail for smokin' a little weed, and the state can collect billions in taxes. The people have spoken.

You don't understand. this is historic. All the years I've been alive they couldn't even get it on the ballot, then it goes and passes the first time. Totally unexpected.

Might even help get us out of this crappy economy. I hope this means these states that legalized can now grow hemp. Obama already flat out said that he's not using one ounce of justice dept. resources to circumvent state law. No plans to enforce federal law in states that pass marijuana laws.

I just never expected it to be 100% legal anywhere in the U.S. in my lifetime and in recent years I thought it would be California before anywhere else. I mean, when I went down there last Sept. weed was growing everywhere in full view. Like it was no big deal. As normal as growing tomatoes.
