    Glass lizards? Yeah I've found a few of those. You think it's a snake until you see the lizard head.

    Why that one? There are lots of legless lizard species right here in America. From my experience, they don't make good captives. At least not any I've ever found, such as Anniella pulchra. Diet of larval insects, termites, ants, and spiders is just too difficult to provide year 'round and they have very specific microclimate needs. Even if you do manage to keep them alive, you'll rarely see them.

    When I was wee I found a small Anguis fragilis (I was too young to know they where illegal) I fed it on small earth worms and ant eggs I released him by my compost heap after a couple of weeks
