Yeah, but even with speed and ADHD, it can be very... unhelpful depending on the dose. it took me a year of trying every dosage and brand of generic to find a slight fit.

It's been tough for him...we are still trying to get his medication right after three years. Even on medication, he is very hyper at times...but he is a good kid and better than a lot of kids I see out there who don't even have ADHD! Of course, most of that I attribute to lack of parenting.

I actually read or heard somewhere that they did a study and there isn't such a thing as a "sugar high." I'll see if I can find it.

when it rains, it pours. my cat has had a bad ear infection. antibiotics and three trips to the vet in the last week and a half! and it's still not over. now that the swelling has gone down they found a polyp in his ear. they're going to use anesthesia and try to remove it. if that doesn't work then he has to have surgery.

My stepson has ADD. We've been trying fish oil. It seems to help.

I have read a zillion articles that say that it has been proven that sugar does not make children hyperactive. I was a therapist and I worked with kids...I used to claim that crap myself. I didn't have a child then. Come to my house. Put my child in a room with nothing else to influence him. Heck...put him in a lab and eliminate all of the extraneous variables. Give him a candy bar. Wait ten minutes. Then tell me sugar does not affect his behavior. There are articles and then there is living proof. I would like the people who wrote the articles to have my son come to their house and eat some sugar and then they can reconsider their findings.

Fish oil huh? I would be willing to give that a try.
